Webmaster sought
Grasp Information Corporation seeks a Webmaster to implement, maintain, and
administer both its web server and Internet infrastructure from its Cambridge,
MA office. The webmaster will be working closely with marketing, sales, and
support to ensure both the content and the capabilities of the web site are
consistent with the goals of the organization.
Grasp Information, a year and half old venture capital-backed software company,
develops and markets knowledge organization software. Its initial product,
KnowIt All Organizer, allows individuals to organize and create reports from
critical pieces of information extracted from the web, e-mail, newsgroups,
on-line services, CD-ROM and other electronic sources.
Primary Responsibilities
* Manage and administer the Grasp web site
* Implement HTML documents
* Manage and administer SMTP gateway
* Enable import/export of Notes databases from/to web site
* Monitor site performance and usage
* Recommend and implement appropriate commerce-related technologies
* Recommend hosting service and site configuration
Skills
* WWW Knowledge (HTML, CGI, HTTP, Tools)
* Communications Protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP)
* Web Server Management and Administration
* Graphic Design and web-related graphic design tools
* Good English language editing skills
* Creative intellect
* Ability to keep up with fast moving marketplace
