Unix versions

Hi there.  Can anyone share with me their experiences using LISPworks
with CL-HTTP, or any other UNIX version for that matter.  I've been
trying (unsuccesfully) to get my application running on a mac 9500 for
several months and I just feel so helpless because I'm not a Mac hack,
so I'm thinking about moving back to Unix, but I don't want to take
too many steps back.
