After being in the red for about half the competition, the Vikings
pulled ahead with some new investment strategy in the last few days of
trading (making over $250K in one day!). Despite a steady growth of
their portfolio throughout the competition (never showing a loss for
any day!), and despite their signature widespread participation, the
Barbarians were edged out of first place as the competition came to a
close.

Scoring: as described (tentatively) at the beginning of the
competition, I gave each team $10,000 extra (at the end) for each team
member who made at least one trade. The tallies are:

TEAM FINAL VALUE	PEOPLE	SCORE
==========	===========	======	==========
Vikings 1577568.86	11	1687658.86
Gangsters	1329301.77	18	1509301.77
Barbarians	1029765.28	13	1159765.28
Crusaders	1014741.38	13	1144741.38

One trade by a single team member could have reversed 3rd and 4th
places. The Gangsters' extensive participation made up most of the
remaining lead the Vikings had acquired (despite a valiant last-minute
chase), but was not enough to regain the lead.

All teams ended up positive, increasing their portfolio value by at
least several percent in just two short weeks -- a record any investor
can be proud of. The two winning teams made 57% and 32% on their
money in two weeks! Perhaps it's time to reconsider that academic
career...

Thanks to all who traded.
