E.W. Scripps Co. said it has acquired a Georgia cable television company
 and a Massachusetts publishing firm . 

 Terms on both deals were n't disclosed . 


 The media company said it purchased Cable USA Inc. , a privately held
 cable television system in Carroll County , Ga. , a suburb of Atlanta . 

 The system is still under construction and will serve a market of 7,600
 homes . 


 The company also has acquired Sundance Publishers and Distributors Inc. ,
 a family owned producer and distributor of educational materials in
 Littleton , Mass .
