Office Chair Race
The Rules
- Two players will race simultaneously against the clock.
- During the race, the comeptitors will pick up the tennis ball designated for them. The clock stops once the tennis ball is sucessfully thrown in the garbage can at the end of the course.
- Each competitor must have his or her rear firmly planted in the seat of
the chair at all times. Locomotion may be provided in any manner (with the
exception of other people) so long as this rule is observed.
- If the chair tips over, the competitor must right the chair and sit back
down in it before continuing.
- If the ball misses the can, it must be retrieved with rear in chair, with the exception of when the ball cannot be reached from a chair. In this case, the participant must go as far as they can in the chair, stand up and retrieve the ball, and the sit down in the chair before continuing.
- The chair must maneuver around (not over) each of the cones. If
a cone falls over, it must be left in that position through the rest of the
race.
- Each competitor will race only once.
- The chairs will be selected by the commisioner, and will hopefully be of the
same five-legged variety we've used in the past few years.
- Helmets are optional.
- Each team will recieve one point for each participant plus 5 points for the first place time, 4 points for the second, and so on, for the best five times.
