The Superball Drop

"Three Spheres II" from The World of M.C. Escher, p.94

Contestants will compete to see how far they can project a superball down the Northern stairwell from the 9th floor. They may launch the superball in any non-chemically assisted way, as long as the ball is free of contact with other objects after it leaves the 9th floor. The toss will be scored by the landing upon which it comes to rest.

Once a member from each team has tossed one ball, the contestants will walk down the stairs with me to retrieve the balls and record their scores.

Any problem contestants will be volunteered for the next event... The graduate student drop.
