Their team, as is apparently typical of C+ league teams, had two A league players, a couple of C leaguers, and a bunch of D+ league roster-fodder. Unfortunately, their A leaguers (one in particular, the one that scored their lone goal) were faster than anyone on our team. Their goal came in the second period on a nice end-to-end, unassisted play when their ringer skated around all five of our players on his way to the net. There was no scoring in the first or third periods.
In all, we played hard, but didn't really get the hang of checking and taking the body until the third period. Jeremy had a great check on Chris, though. Like Misha says, when Ray Bourque is out on the ice, he's always muttering to himself, take the body, take the body, take the body. It's not that he doesn't know what he's supposed to do, it just makes sure he's always conscious of it.
