Questions

Obviously there are a lot of questions, and we don't expect you to answer all of them in your presentation. They are meant to guide you when you put your presentation together, to help you figure out what kind of background your audience has, what issues they are interested in, and what terms should be defined. You can decide for yourself which questions ought to be answered during the actual presentation and which ones are best left for the ensuing question/discussion period.

Listening Policy

Our goal is to ensure that everyone attending class is an active participant in post-presentation discussions, so listeners will be required to read the papers for each topic, and to actively contribute to the discussions. If you will not have time to read the papers before attending class, please do not audit the course. Listeners do not need to attend every single class as long they do read the relevant papers before classes they do attend. We hope this clears up our expectations for listeners.
