Howard
Elliot Shrobe, Ph.D., is Associate Director of the M.I.T Artificial Intelligence
Laboratory. He has done research in Software Engineering, VLSI design, Computer
Architecture and Artificial Intelligence. He served as Chief Scientist of
the DARPA Software and Intelligent Systems Technology Office (SISTO) and
of the Information Technology Office (ITO) from September 1994 through August
1997. In this capacity he had a significant role in the creation of several
programs including EDCS and Information Survivability. He has also served
as Chief Technology Officer of Symbolics Inc. He served as Chair of the
AAAI Conference Committee for 5 years and is a Fellow of the AAAI. |
