Secondary redistribution

A large percent of active customers (in contrast to distributors) report they regularly pass along the documents or information in them to other people. Since the average of such distribution for the entire population of customers is to 3 other people, such secondary distribution suggests that a total of 130,000 to 160,000 people regularly receive or get some electronic White House documents. Note the curve for numbers doing such redistribution by audience size has a long tail to the right, i.e., the percent of recipients giving to others decreases rapidly as the number of the others increases. Thus 30%of active recipients say they give the documents to no-one, while 1%report secondary distribution to audiences over 10,000. The latter group should be examined case by case, but it does include people who use the documents as inputs for the presentation of information in other (non-computer-based) media.
