On this page, we show an Ising spin system cooled substantially below the critical temperature; phase separation is progressing inexhorably. Again, the emergent phenomenology is that of surface tension, since the system's energy is concentrated on the interface bewteen domains and cooling takes away energy. (Note that a majority rule can be thought of as a dissipative version of an Ising model.)
