How to Add a Project to the Medical Vision Group Home Page
This page describes how to add a project to the Medical Vision Group
page. Please read it carefully before you start modifying the
files. It is important for all of us to comply with the rules, so this
page is up and ready for demonstrations and browsing at all times. It
will also make life much easier for the people who will be editing it
later. If you have any questions, ask other people in the group, or
send me email. Thanks.
- Create a directory for your project and put all the relevant
files, images, papers in that directory. Take a look at
projects/medical-vision/surgery for an example. Try to organize your
directory well (use subdirectories to store images and papers, don't
clutter the top level, etc.). If you are just starting, create your
directory under projects/medical-vision/, but you can also use any
existing directory on the web server.
- Create an html file with the description of your project. Note
that it should be very explanatory, with lots of pictures, so that a
user can work through the file and get a clear understanding of what
the project is about and what the results are. Take a look at Image
Guided Surgery projects for an example. Also, select one image to
serve as an icon for your project.
- Edit projects/medical-vision/index.html to add your project. Use
one of the existing project entries as a template for your entry. You
will need to specify the title of the project, give a short
description and point to an icon. Note that you will have to decide
which cluster your project belongs to. Feel free to start a new
cluster if your project doesn't fit into the existing categories, but
please think carefully before you do this.
- Important: Please add your entry to the beginning of the
cluster. We want the projects ordered from the most recent to earlier
in time. This way people looking at the projects will see the current
research first.
- If you have any questions, or run into problems while creating
your entry, send me email, and
I will be happy to help you.
