Re: cl-httpd on a powermac 7100

Chris,

We have run the server on a 7100 here at the AI lab without trouble.
It sounds like there may be some bugs at the TCP level or in the MCL thread
code that are exposed when running on the PowerMac architecture.

It would be really helpful if you could provide a reproducible test case to
bug-mac-cl-http@wilson.ai.mit.edu and bug-mcl@digitool.com This will
allow Apple, Digitool, or mac-cl-http developers to locate and fix the problem.

In general, it is probably best to save an image that contains only the
unconfigured
server, and then, to load configuration and export files before starting
the server
from the saved image.

The latest development version contains some fixes to MacTCP.lisp that should
make things work better when running the server from saved images. This
might address your problem.

There will be a new release in the next few days for all platforms that includes
these improvements and others.

It would probably be best if to tried to reproduce the problem in the next
release.

Glad you're getting some value out of the server.

Regards, John Mallery
