Finally, we apply adaptive contrast enhancement to the high-pass filtered version, obtaining an image that is beginning to look more like a {\em map} than a photograph. Note the detail in the creek in the upper-left quarter, the uniformity and sharpness of the houses, the texture of wooded areas.
