Using MCL 3.0 on PowerMac 7100/66 and powerbook 5300c..PROBLEM!!

Hi Folks,
	I have just acquired MCL3.0 CD but when I install it on either
my desktop powerMac 7100/66MHz, 40 MB RAM or powerbook 5300c[117MHz, 32 MB RAM]
the performance is appallingly slow to say the least. Powerbook with 117Mhz 
speed is actually slower then 7100/66 desktop!!
	The simple echo of a random sequence of chars from keyboard is about
1 char/sec on powerbook display!!!! Surely this is unacceptable and there must
be known solutions to get back to real working performance even in emulation 
mode!
 
	I have asked digitool people for help, but I thought maybe with your
experience with MCL 3.0 you can pin point the problem or atleast give me some
feedback if this is a known problem that everyone is facing..... 
	If there are any recent patches that help solve speed problems 
[ after the CD release of 3.0 ] please let me know and I will get these
from digitool.
