Re: easier installation, etc

one thing which would make it easier work with cl-http - both to get it
running and to get it to serve more than the existing examples, would be to
make it possible to read the content of the www branch of the distribution
by loading the browsing as file. this excludes, of course, those parts
which require computed responses, but it would be a large step forward.

given the present absolute names used in the links, the only way i knew to
accomplish it was to create a volume called "cl-http". it would be nicer if
the paths were relative so that one could use the documentation whereever
it was...

(i've got a mac here, and i didn't think i have a root directory in which
i can just install whatever symbolic links i want. or is there some other
means to get, for example,
 "file:///cl-http/response-functions.html"
to specify the file relative to an arbitrary folder???)

on one hand, i have gotten it running, so why am i concerned.
on the other, much of the time figuring out how to do something right, or
whether it's possible to do it at all, entails a full-text search of the
source and html trees for the right things to read, because i've not got
the server running and would rather not start it just then...
were i able to load the documentation as files, it would be more likely i
would use it as intended...

thanks, bye,
