Release 47.6 of Common Lisp Web Server
Release 47.6 of the Common Lisp Web Server (CL-HTTP) is now available from
http://www.ai.mit.edu/projects/iiip/doc/cl-http/home-page.html
Significant features include:
* Franz and Harlequin UNIX ports are now betatest, up from alpha.
* Digest Authentication provides substantially better access authentication
than the basic scheme. See the documentation page on authentication.
* Server logging is now modular and extensible. The variable
http:*log-access-log-class* controls the class of log used. A variety
of log formats are predefined.
* Netscape 2.0 compatibility includes a range of extensions for HTML
generation, including client-side image-maps and frames. Java and
LiveScript can be exported and invoked from synthesized HTML. See
the bottom of the features page for examples and documentation.
* A number of bug fixes are included.
We would appreciate seeing more traffic on www-cl@ai.mit.edu describing the
kinds of application people are doing. The more you put in, the more you will
get out.
See the calendar section of the homepage for further information relevant to
Lisp and the web.
